Riverfront Park

  • Designed for Expo ‘74 by Sister Paula Turnbull, Garbage Goat has since been a Downtown Spokane staple. People of all ages love to feed small pieces of garbage to this steel sculpture, and delight in the vacuum digestion as it sucks up trash.

  • Located at Riverfront’s North Bank, enjoy 40,000 square feet of playground, complete with a 3-story slide tower, splash pad, fossil dig site, and more. Fun for all ages!

  • Created in 1989 for the “Centennial Celebration of Children”, this one-of-a-kind interactive sculpture really lets you slide down the handle!

  • Gateway marker to the South Entrance of Riverfront Park, the newly added rock seating area gives the park’s visitors space to sit and enjoy the water feature on hot summer days.

  • Shred the gnar or whatever the cool kids say these days at Riverfront’s own skate and wheels park. Two bowls, flat bar, and slanted wall ride pays homage to now dismantled Under The Freeway (UTF) skatepark, while also utilizing surrounding structures for maximum fun.

  • There are six bridges that cover the Spokane River. Each bridge has a view of different falls and/or fast moving water. The bridge nearest the Washington Water Power building allows you to see the greatest force of two separate falls that come together. A sight worth seeing.

Downtown Spokane

Kendall Yards

  • 40 miles of beautiful follow the Spokane River from Nine Mile Falls to the border of Idaho on the Centennial Trail. Serious hikers need not apply, as portion of the trail takes you through beautiful Kendall Yards, where you can stop for a bite to eat or some shopping all while enjoying the view.

  • During the months of May-September on Wednesdays from 5-8pm, prepare to be dazzled by local vendors supplying produce and trinkets. Live music and food trucks make the Night Market more of a fun event than just a quick shopping trip.
