Tamarack Cellars Five-Course Wine Pairing Dinner

  • Steam Plant Restaurant & Brew Pub 159 South Lincoln Street Spokane, WA, 99201 United States (map)

Tamarack Cellars will be presented at the January five-course dinner and wine pairing by Winemaker David O’Reilly. O’Reilly has crafted exceptional wines including Tamarack, Owen Roe, and Firesteed, with a focus on producing wines of integrity and character. He is dedicated to sourcing fruit from only the highest quality vineyards in the Columbia and Willamette Valley and allows the expression of the grape define the end result.

David seeks to produce the most authentic expression of each varietal, using minimal handling and traditional techniques. Selection of vineyard sites along with hands on involvement throughout the growing season is some of the most important winemaking work David does. His picking decisions are always made in the vineyard. David believes it’s only by observing nature that we can harvest fruit at its delicate peak of aromatic development, while maintaining balanced pH and high acidity.

David’s wines consistently garner impressive accolades and scores from critics and publications such as Wine Spectator, Robert Parker and James Suckling.

The wines being presented are:

  • Tamarack Cellars Chardonnay – 90 pts Wine Enthusiast

  • Firehouse Red Blend – 90 pts Wine Enthusiast, 91pts James Suckling

  • Merlot – Gold Medal from The Great Northwest Wine Competition

  • Cabernet Franc – 91 pts James Suckling
